Rochester Americans News Release

***This Week's Top Storylines***

*The Amerks are holding their fourth annual Amerks Community Assist Week this week, as this year's community initiative involves players, coaches and team officials supporting a variety of local Military organizations as part of the team's ongoing Military Appreciation Week efforts. Events include visits to the Veterans Outreach Center, the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua and participation in the OASIS learn-to-skate program as well as the return of the Amerks Reading Power Play Program and USA Hockey's Try Hockey For Free Day.

*The Amerks enter the week owning two of the top three point-getters in the AHL in veteran forwards Cole Schneider and Cal O'Reilly, both of whom are coming off back-to-back multi-point games to close out Rochester's three-game weekend.

-Schneider, whose 15 points (7+8) are currently tops in the AHL, has recorded at least two points or more in six of the first 10 games this season. The fifth-year pro has found the back of the net in four straight games, which is tied for the longest active streak in the league, and shows seven points over his current four-game point streak. He's tied for second in the league in goals (7), fourth in power-play goals (3) and seventh in assists (8) entering play this week. The Amerks are a perfect 4-1-0-0 this season when Schneider records a point and an identical 4-1-0-0 when he tallies to points or more.

- O'Reilly, meanwhile, ranks third in the AHL with a team-high 10 assists and sits third overall in points. Rochester's captain assisted on all three Amerks goals in a 5-3 loss at Hershey on Sunday, marking his first three-assist game since Dec. 5, 2014 as a member of the Utica Comets. O'Reilly totaled five points over the weekend and shows 11 points (2+9) over his last eight games, a streak that included a five-game point streak to close out the month of October.

*The Amerks begin another three-game weekend on Friday, Nov. 11when they host the Hartford Wolf Pack for a Veterans Day matchup at The Blue Cross Arena. The team will again wear special Military-themed jerseys on Friday that will be auctioned off to benefit the Veterans Outreach Center.
