Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
HARTFORD, November 25, 2013: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack has recalled goaltender Jeff Malcolm from its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors, and that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned goaltender Scott Stajcer from the Wolf Pack to Greenville.
Malcolm, who helped lead Yale University to its first-ever NCAA title last season as a senior, currently sports the second-best save percentage in the ECHL, with a mark of 94.0 in seven games, and his goals-against average of 1.96 is fifth-best among ECHL goaltenders. The 6-2, 185-pound Lethbridge, Alberta native is 3-3-1 with the Road Warriors, after playing two periods of one game with the Wolf Pack earlier this season. Malcolm absorbed the loss in that contest, a 4-3 defeat at Albany October 25, allowing four goals on 23 shots.
Stajcer has seen action in seven games with the Wolf Pack this year, going 2-2-0 with a 2.27 GAA and a 90.4% save percentage. The second-year pro was a fifth-round Ranger selection (140th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.
The Wolf Pack's next game is on home ice at the XL Center this Wednesday, November 27, a 7:00 date with the Portland Pirates. That game features a "Movember" tribute to the importance of men's health awareness. The first 1,000 fans into the game will receive a free Movember "mustache" t-shirt. The shirt depicts Sonar, the Wolf Pack's beloved mascot, proudly showing off his Movember "'stache". Also, the proceeds from that night's "Chuck-a-Puck" promotion will be donated to Gaylord Hospital of Wallingford, CT, for its men's health efforts.
Tickets for all Wolf Pack 2013-14 home games are also available at the Public Power Ticket Office at the XL Center and by phone at (877) 522-8499. Wolf Pack tickets start as low as $12 for youth 12 years old or younger. To speak with a representative about season or group tickets, call (855) 762-6451.
