
Wizards Waive Lawrence Westbrook

Bismarck, N.D. (Feb. 22, 2011) ¬" The Dakota Wizards announced today that they have waived guard Lawrence Westbrook (6-0 185, Minnesota) due to injury and have re-acquired guard Brandon Johnson (6-0 205, San Diego). Johnson will be in uniform this weekend as the Wizards play host to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday and Sunday.
Johnson was the second round pick, 24th overall, of the Wizards in the 2010 NBA Development League Draft. He appeared in 10 games (2 starts) and averaged 10.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He scored a season high 26 points against the Iowa Energy on November 20, 2010.
Westbrook was acquired on January 19, 2011 and appeared in 8 games with Dakota averaging 9.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
