MILWAUKEE BUCKS ASSIGN LARRY SANDERS TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE FORT WAYNE MAD ANTS
Milwaukee Bucks forward Larry Sanders was assigned to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Bucks' NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the 40th time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Sanders, a rookie out of Virginia Commonwealth. Sanders (6-11, 235) has appeared in 36 games (eight starts) this season with the Bucks, averaging 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 13.5 minutes. Sanders has scored in double figures four times this season, highlighted by a 15-point, eight-rebound performance against the Orlando Magic on Jan. 5. Milwaukee chose Sanders as an early entry candidate in the first round (15th overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft. In three seasons at Virginia Commonwealth, Sanders averaged 10.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks over 101 games. An All-Colonial Athletic Association First Team selection as a junior in 2009-10, Sanders was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010.

Antonio Daniels scored 24 points and Joe Alexander added 23 points, six rebounds, five assists and three blocks as Texas snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over Austin. Lance Thomas led the Toros with 24 points.
Ronald Dupree had 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Tony Gaffney added 15 points and six rebounds for Utah in a win over Idaho. Armon Johnson, on assignment from the Portland Trail Blazers, led Idaho with 23 points and four assists.
