Wisconsin Herd Falls to Skyforce

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Sioux Falls Skyforce 100-80. The Herd opened the first quarter with a strong defensive push keeping the Skyforce to only 16 points. Sioux Falls took over in the second quarter and built their lead to 51-42 at half-time. Wisconsin worked towards a comeback led by Brandon Randolph with 11 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to overthrow the Skyforce. Sioux Falls won the game 100-80.
Brandon Randolph led the Herd with 19 points followed by Rob Edwards with 16 points and Elijah Hughes and Lindell Wigginton with 14 points.
Orlando Robinson guided the Skyforce with 21 points while Jamal Cain added 18 points.
The Herd took the first lead of the game, but the Skyforce was quick to answer going ahead 11-9. Lindell Wigginton tied the game and Iverson Molinar added another basket to put the Herd up 13-11. Wisconsin continued to increase its lead to 21-16 at the end of the first quarter.
Alex Antetokounmpo and Elijah Hughes combined for five points to open the second quarter. The Skyforce clawed back to take a 33-32 lead at the six-minute mark. The two teams traded the lead four times before the Skyforce ran away with six unanswered points. Rob Edwards and Nate Roberts hit consecutive baskets to end the half, but Sioux Falls remained ahead 51-42. Rob Edwards led the Herd with 10 points.
The Skyforce outscored the Herd 22-2 to increase its head start to 29 points at the five-minute mark. Elijah Hughes hit a three-point shot to bring his total points to 10. Lindell Wigginton and Brandon Randolph teamed up for four points at the end of the third quarter. Sioux Falls led 84-52.
The Herd opened the fourth quarter shooting six-for-nine and outscoring the Skyforce 16-6. Rob Edwards hit a jump shot to bring the Skyforce lead down to 20 points. Lindell Wigginton and Rob Edwards hit two baskets to close out the game. Sioux Falls won 100-80.
The Herd returns home on Wednesday, December 14 against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m. CST.
