Luca Sbisa had an assist in his Winterhawks debut, but Portland fell 4-3 in Everett Friday. Everett's win extended their winning streak to 13 games.

The Silvertips opened the scoring 8:37 into the first period when Shane Harper scored his team-leading 32nd goal of the season to make it 1-0. Everett fired 15 shots at Portland netminder Mac Carruth in the first period, who turned away 14 of them.

The Silvertips then made it 2-0 9:04 into the second period on a goal by Chris Langkow, but Portland got that one back 2:24 later on the 11th goal of the season by Ty Rattie. Sbisa was credited with one of the assists on the play, his first point in his first game as a Winterhawk, as Portland cut the deficit to 2-1.

Everett then made it a two-goal lead once again late in the second when Zack Daily scored with 1:16 remaining in the period. But the Winterhawks kept pressing, and with just 12 seconds remaining in the second period, Rattie notched his second of the game to make it 3-2 heading into the third period. With two goals Friday, Rattie now has five multi-point games this month.

The Winterhawks tied the game at 3-3 just under four minutes into the third when Chris Francis scored his 22nd goal of the season on a wraparound with an assist from Eric Doyle. But Everett broke the tie just under five minutes later on a power play when Dailey tipped in a shot from the point for his second goal of the game to make it 4-3 in favor of the Silvertips, a score that would stand as the final.

Portland returns home to host the Seattle Thunderbirds tomorrow night at the Rose Garden in the team's annual Mascot Night. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
