Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen saw their three game winning streak come to an end Friday night with a 6-3 Pengrowth Saddledome loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings.
The Hitmen built a 3-1 third period lead only to see the Wheat Kings score five unanswered goals in the final 11 minutes.
Tyler Shattock scored twice for Calgary to give him 24 goals on the season while Joel Broda with his 26th also scored for the Hitmen.
The Brandon line of Matt Calvert, Brayden Schenn and Scott Glennie combined for seven points (3g 4a) in the victory and was a combined +9.
The loss drops the Hitmen record to 32-16-1-1. At 66 points they sit tied with the Kootenay Ice for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
Calgary returns to action Sunday afternoon when they host the WHL leading Tri-City Americans. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
