Portland Winterhawks News Release
Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks, proud member club of the Western Hockey League, announced today that the club has acquired a fourth-round pick in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 2001-born defenseman Kade Nolan.
Nolan, 20, spent four seasons in Portland and acted as an alternate captain for the start of the 2020-21 season. Originally selected by the Winterhawks in the fourth round of the 2016 WHL Prospects Draft, Nolan amassed five goals, 20 assists and a +27 rating in 118 games.
With the return of 20-year-old Jaydon Dureau from the AHL's Syracuse Crunch, the Winterhawks are now within the limit of three overage players on their roster.
