WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem Dash dropped game three of the "Battle of I-40" against the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 15-6, Thursday night at Truist Stadium in front of 3,777 fans.

Greensboro (25-21) scored early and often, plating eight runs over the first two innings.

Following a two-run third by Winston-Salem (26-20) after a Loidel Chapelli two-RBI double, the Grasshoppers responded with three runs in the top of the fourth, holding an 11-2 lead.

The Dash pushed a run across in the bottom of the fourth cutting the deficit back to eight, 11-3, but Greensboro got the run right back in the fifth.

Winston-Salem showed signs of life in the bottom of the six. Shawn Goosenberg smacked his third home run of the year to the berm in left, followed up by Keegan Fish launching his first long ball of the year to straightaway right, making it 12-5.

Dash pitching held the Grasshoppers scoreless over the next two frames, but the offense only mustered up one more run on the night. The visitors put the finishing touches on the Dash adding three runs in the ninth taking a 15-6 win in game three.

Kohl Simas (4-2) was tabbed with the loss after lasting only 1.2 innings in the start. Logan Hofmann (1-0) picked up the win throwing two innings in relief.
