Winnipeg, MB (December 16, 2010) - The Winnipeg Goldeyes and Sports Radio 1290 announced the renewal of their partnership making Sports Radio 1290 the home of every Goldeyes game for the next three years.

"It's important to our organization and our fans that every Goldeyes game is broadcast on the radio," Andrew Collier, General Manager, Winnipeg Goldeyes. "Fans in Winnipeg rely on SPORTS RADIO 1290 as their sports information source and it's where the Goldeyes need to be on the radio dial."

"We are thrilled to deliver this local sports coverage to baseball fans in Winnipeg," said Chris Stevens, Vice-President and General Manager of CHUM Radio Winnipeg. "The Goldeyes are a world class franchise and we are thrilled to connect the Goldeyes with their fans."

In addition to calling every pitch, hit and out during the season, the voice of the Goldeyes, Paul Edmonds, will once again bring Goldeyes fans two magazine programs every weekend. Around the Association will air before every Saturday game and will feature news from across the American Association. And, as in past seasons, 55 with Forney airs prior to every Sunday game and will once again give fans a chance to interact with Goldeyes manager Rick Forney by asking him questions through phone calls and emails. Both shows air 90 minutes before each game.

Leading up to the season, Edmonds will host The Inside Pitch once a month from January to April. The two-hour show will have guests from the Goldeyes, American Association and the baseball community in general.
