The Aberdeen Wings organization is proud to announce the signing of forward Ronnie Hein, currently of the Lansing Capitals (NAPHL).
RONNIE HEIN
Lansing Capitals (NAPHL)
Forward - 5'11" 160 lbs.
Chelsea, MI 01/22/97
Hein has played in 13 games so far for the Lansing Capitals scoring 11 goals, 6 assists, and 17 points. He also has scored two game winning goals helping lead the Capitals to a 12-2-0 start in the 2013-2014 regular season.
"Ronnie is a smooth skating forward with very good hockey sense," said Francis Anzalone, Aberdeen Wings associate head coach and Director of Player Personnel. "He is a competitive, driven young man who is passionate about his development and growth in the right junior environment."
Hockey sportswriter Jasper Kozak-Miller of Over The Boards commented that Hein is the top prospect for the Lansing Capitals. "He's a strong, athletic center who reportedly has nearly the entire NAHL interested in obtaining his services for next season," said Kozak-Miller.
Anzalone went on to say that the Wings organization "is looking forward to helping him move closer to his goals". The Aberdeen Wings hockey staff has spent most of the regular season recruiting all over the country thanks to the efforts of Anzalone and Wings head scout Mike Grattan.
Hein is currently playing for the Lansing Capitals of the North American Prospects Hockey League, an U18 AAA level which is orchestrated by the North American Hockey League as a competitive environment with outstanding player development and a great scouting landscape for the NAHL, who have tendered or drafted 210 players since the leagues inception.
Hein is the fourth player to sign with the Aberdeen Wings this recruiting season, joining Chicago Mission defenseman Brendan Riordan, St. Cloud Cathedral HS forward Will Hammer, and Ohio Jr. Blue Jackets forward Alyx Fonseca.
