Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings will be teaming with the Yelduz Shriners of NE South Dakota for a Teddy Bear Toss game on Saturday, February 21st. The Wings will be hosting the Bismarck Bobcats on Saturday night inside the Odde Ice Center.
A teddy bear toss game is a great way for Wings fans to have fun while raising awareness for childhood treatment from the Shriners Hospitals For Children. Wings fans are encouraged to purchase/bring teddy bears for donation. You can also purchase teddy bears in the lobby from the Yelduz Shriners to toss. Following the first Aberdeen Wings goal, fans will then toss the teddy bears onto the ice. The sight is spectacular. Wings players and staff will take a few minutes to gather all the teddy bears from the ice. All the teddy bears will then be donated to the Shriners Hospitals For Children.
"It's a great opportunity to team up with the Wings and show some publicity for the Shriners and Shriners Hospitals," said Devin Reints, PR Director for the Yelduz Shriners. "We're thankful for the chance to showcase what we do."
The Aberdeen Wings are pleased to team with the Shriners Hospitals For Children and look forward to continuing their partnership. The Shriners Hospitals For Children mission is to provide the highest quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment. They also provide for the education of physicians and other healthcare professionals and conduct research to discover new knowledge that improves the quality of care and quality of life of children and families.
"To date the Shriners Hospitals For Children have served over 1,000,000 patients at no cost to their families," added Reints.
