
Wings Add 2014 Tender

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce the signing of Brendan Riordan (3/10/95) to a tender agreement for the 2014-2015 season. The 6'0, 175 pound Defensemen is currently in his second season as a member of the Chicago Mission U18 AAA team and becomes the Wings' first tender for the 14-15 campaign.
"We are very excited to welcome Brendan to the Aberdeen Wings," Associate Head Coach / Director of Player Personnel Francis Anzalone said. "Brendan is a quality skating, two-way Defenseman who possesses a very good skill set. Most importantly, he is a high character kid who competes day in and day out and loves being at the rink. Brendan is going to be a great addition to our D core next season."
During the 2012-2013 campaign, the Downers Grove, IL native tallied 4 goals, 12 assists and 16 points in 28 regular season games as a member of the U18 Mission. The Mission compete in the High Performance Hockey League.
"While we like the player Brendan is today, we are even more intrigued with his upside. He has some great tools and comes from a solid midget program. We are extremely pleased that Brendan has chosen Aberdeen as the place to continue his development," Wings Head Coach Travis Winter added.
The Wings return to action at the Odde Ice Centernext Friday andSaturday at 7:15 PM for a pair of games against the Minnesota Wilderness. Tickets are available for purchase day of game at the Odde Ice Center, or by calling (605)380-5852.
