Darian Romanko grabbed two points to lead the MN Wilderness Wilderness to a 3-0 victory over the Soo Eagles.
MN Wilderness put 47 shots on net during the contest, more than the 28.9 it averages per game.
MN Wilderness also got points from Nolan Culver, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Michael Covach also scored for MN Wilderness. In addition, MN Wilderness received assists from Brett Heikkila and Tanner Holmquist, who contributed one a piece.
Soo could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Eagles put an average of 2.2 pucks into the net per game. Soo relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Mike Sabatini, Jacob McDowell and AJ Jarosz took 14 of the team's 24 shots.
Frank Oplinger made 24 saves for the Wilderness on 24 shots. MN Wilderness incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Colin Brennan recorded 44 saves for the Eagles. Soo incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
