
Sekesi Leads Bismarck over Minot, 5-2

The Bismarck Bobcats' Huba Sekesi had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 5-2 win over the Minot Minotauros.
Sekesi beat Brandon Wildung with a shot 12:49 into the second period on the power play to make the score 3-1 Bismarck. Bismarck earned a power play opportunity when Krisztian Nagy was put in the box for holding. Nate Repensky assisted on the tally. Sekesi dished an assist on Tyler Dunagan's goal that made the score 1-0 Bismarck at 3:44 into the first period. He added another helper on Cullen Willox's goal that made the score 2-0 Bismarck at 14:30 into the first period.
The Bobcats struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 18 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.
Bismarck also got points from Dunagan, who also had one goal and one assist. Jared Dedenbach also scored for Bismarck. More assists for Bismarck came via Tanner Salsberry, who had two and Tommy Malkmus, Levi Blom, Matt Anders, and Brendan Harris, who each chipped in one.
Minot's defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 10 shots between them.
The Minotauros were helped by Scott Dornbrock, who registered one goal. Dornbrock scored on the power play 15 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Bismarck. Nagy provided the assist. Minot also got a goal from Jake Johnson as well. In addition, Minot received assists from Jon Lizotte and Jack Forbort, who contributed one a piece.
Bismarck's Scott Albertoni stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Bobcats registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Wildung rejected 23 shots on goal for Minot. The Minotauros incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
