Wichita Wingnuts News Release

WICHITA, Kans. "" Strong thunderstorms through the late afternoon and early evening postponed the second game of the three-game set between the Wichita Wingnuts and Kansas City T-Bones scheduled for Wednesday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. After discussions between both clubs and the league office, the two will no longer play a doubleheader on Thursday, and will instead just play Thursday's regularly scheduled contest at 11:05 a.m. at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The Wingnuts and T-Bones will make up Wednesday's contest as part of a doubleheader on August 16 when Kansas City returns to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium for the two clubs' final regular season series. Both contests that evening will be seven-inning affairs.

For Thursday's contest, Wichita will turn to righty Alex Boshers (1-2, 3.85), while Kansas City will counter with fellow right-hander David Holman (2-1, 3.17). First pitch Thursday is set for 11:05 a.m., and the game can be heard on 1410 AM KGSO, as well as on TuneIn.

For information on tickets, group outings, and party packages, call the Wingnuts' main office at (316) 264-NUTS, or visit the Wingnuts' official website at www.wichitawingnuts.com.
