Wind Surge to Host Day Game on July 14th

Wichita, KS - The Wichita Wind Surge announced that they will be hosting a special weekday day game on Wednesday, July 14th against the Tulsa Drillers at Riverfront Stadium. Gates will open at 10:30am, with first pitch at 12:05pm. The game will be known as "Summer Camp Day, presented by First Student."

"We have had so many local camps, schools and day cares who want to be able to bring their students out to a game," said Wind Surge Director of Sales Brian Turner, "We are very excited to be able to make that happen."

Originally scheduled for a 7:05pm start, the game time was changed after contacting the Drillers, Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Dodgers.

"This is also a great opportunity for fans to spend a long lunch hour with us, or for companies to bring their employees out for a 'field trip' of their own," added Turner, "We think it's going to be a really fun day at the ballpark for everyone."

For groups wishing to come out to the game, there are options for ticket-only packages, starting at $6 per person, as well as ticket and box lunch packages that start at $11 per person and include a hot dog, chips and drink.
