Former Riders Infielder Luis Marté Debuts for Miami

FRISCO, Texas - Former Frisco RoughRiders infielder Luis Marté made his major league debut on Tuesday night for the Miami Marlins

Marté, who played for Frisco from 2015 through 2018, went 0-for-2 in his debut against Toronto. The second baseman played a total of 213 games for the RoughRiders over the four seasons.

The Dominican Republic native is the 168th former RoughRiders player to make his major-league debut after playing in Frisco and the second in 2021, after Andy Ibañez.

The Riders continue their six-game series against the Sod Poodles with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday, June 2nd. RHP Cole Winn (1-1, 2.08) starters for Frisco against RHP Luis Frias (1-1, 4.30). It is Weiner Wednesday featuring $2 hot dogs, presented by Texas Chili Company.
