Wind Surge Host NW Arkansas for Their Final Regular Season Home Series

The Wichita Wind Surge open their final home series of the season. Wichita welcomes in NW Arkansas (KC Royals) for the first game of a six-game series on Tuesday. The Wind Surge wrapped up a 12-game trip on Sunday going 5-7 on the trip and a series split in Springfield. The Surge magic number to clinch the division is eight. Wichita leads the division by 5 games with 12 to play. The two long road trips this season, a 13 game in June and the recent 12 gamer, Wichita went a combined 8-17.

VS NATURALS - The Surge and Naturals meet for the fourth series this season, Wichita leads the season series 11-6.

JAIR - Jair Camargo has hit six home runs in his last 14 games and had seven game hits streak snapped Saturday night. He batted (13x42) .308 with 8 runs scored and 10RBI in hit streak. His 17 home runs for the season, eighth best in the organization.

ACCOLADES - Baseball America announced its Minor League Prospects with best tools for the Texas League. Edouard Julien was named Best Strike Zone Judgement in the league. Austin Martin was named Best Baserunner in Texas League and DaShawn Keirsey, Jr, was named Fastest Baserunner and Best Defensive Outfielder.

A NEW YEAR - The Wind Surge announced the 2023 Texas League Schedule, the Surge open the season in Springfield on April 6th with a three game set. The home opener will be April 11 vs NW Arkansas.

AP24 - Anthony Prato leads the Minnesota Twins organization with 121 hits between CR and Wichita. He is second in the organization with doubles.
