
Wind Surge Homers Doom Travs

North Little Rock, AR - The Wichita Wind Surge hit three home runs and defeated the Arkansas Travelers 6-4 on Wednesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Arkansas got a three-run homer from Zach DeLoach in the sixth, his first Double-A hit, but could not close the gap after being down early. Travs starter Adam Hill surrendered all three of the homers which accounted for all six of Wichita's runs. Hill took the loss with Bryan Sammons netting the win out of the Wichita bullpen and Ryan Mason notching his fourth save.
Moments That Mattered
* BJ Boyd ended an 11 pitch at-bat with a three-run homer off of Hill in the fourth inning.
* Down by two, Stephen Wrenn tripled and Joe Rizzo walked to open the seventh inning but the Travs failed to score and allowed Wichita to retain a multi-run lead.
