July 15, 2022 - Texas League (TL)
Arkansas Travelers News Release
Wichita, KS - The Wichita Wind Surge (8-7, 43-40) handed the Arkansas Travelers (7-8, 43-41) their fourth consecutive loss, 11-5 on Thursday night. An early seven run deficit proved to be too much for the Travs to overcome as they allowed double-digit runs for the third consecutive game. Riley Unroe and Jake Anchia homered, trying to spark the Arkansas offense but the bullpen of the Wind Surge proved to be too much.
Moments That Mattered
* Down two runs, the Travs had a pair of runners thrown out on the bases in the third inning. Kaden Polcovich was out trying to stretch a single into a double. Late, Joe Rizzo was thrown out at home trying to score from first on a double to end the inning.
* Wichita scored five times in the bottom of the third, highlighted by a grand slam from Chris Williams.
Notable Travs Performances
* DH Joe Rizzo: 0-1, 3 BB, run
* SS Riley Unroe: 1-3, BB, run, HR, RBI
