Binghamton Senators News Release
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators fell 4-2 Sunday afternoon in Hartford as the Wolf Pack ended the team's season-long win streak at four games. Mackenzie Skapski turned aside 43 of 45 Binghamton shots to give Hartford the win.
Hartford opened the scoring just 1:20 into the contest on a power-play goal from Chris Bourque who beat Scott Greenham from the slot for his ninth tally of the year. Cole Schneider evened the score at 1-1 when he knocked home a rebound in front of Skapski with just over 11 minutes to play in the opening frame. Danny Kristo gave the Wolf Pack the 2-1 lead heading into intermission with his seventh of the year at 11:48 of the period.
Dallas Jackson made it 3-1 Hartford just shy of the nine-minute mark in the second before Kristo notched his second of the night less than one minute later to open the home team's lead. Despite Binghamton outshooting Hartford 21-15 in the second, the Wolf Pack used its two second period tallies for a 4-1 lead heading into the final intermission.
Binghamton shrunk the Wolf Pack's lead to 4-2 just 13 seconds into the final frame when Jean-Gabriel Pageau redirected a shot from Fredrik Claesson past Skapski, but Hartford held on for the victory.
Bourque finished with a goal and two assists to go along with Kristo's two goals to lead the Wolf Pack to victory while Schneider and Claesson finished with two points each for Binghamton. Greenham turned aside 31 of 35 shots faced in his first regulation defeat of the year.
