Wilmington Sea Dawgs News Release
Wilmington, NC --- In an effort to allow more potential players to receive a discounted tryout fee, the Wilmington Sea Dawgs has extended its open tryout pre-registration deadline until Tuesday, September 12, 2006.
"We wanted to give as many guys as possible a chance to demonstrate their skills." says head Coach and General Manager Kevin Whitted. "We hope that by extending our deadline we can reach out to additional talented players."
The tryouts are scheduled for September 16th and 17th at E.A. Laney High School in Wilmington NC.
Interested players may arrive at the gym as early as 8:30 a.m.; with tryouts running from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Candidates must be 18 years of age with a high school degree or equivalent. Players should wear appropriate shoes and clothing and come ready to compete.
Advance Registration is $125 and is due by September 12. On-site registrations will also be accepted at a charge of $150. All registration fees are non-refundable and payable by check or cash. Please be advised that participation in the open tryouts may jeopardize a player's NCAA eligibility. If you have any question about NCAA eligibility, please consult with your current basketball coach.
