Wilmington, NC - A seesaw fourth quarter down the stretch that saw the lead change hands several times ended with a Wilmington Sea Dawgs loss to the visiting Team HoopForLyfe by the score of 107-100 in Sunday evening Tobacco Road Basketball League action at Blizzard Athletics.

The first quarter saw aggressive defense by HoopForLyfe, putting pressure on Sea Dawg point guard Zach Herrmann as he brought the ball into the front court. However, strong rebounding by Kelvin Brown and Mike Gibbs helped Wilmington keep pace, so that after one HoopForLyfe held only a slim 3 point lead, 31-28

While strong Wilmington rebounding continued, their passing was hit and miss with several interceptions leading to HoopForLyfe points. Team HoopForLyfe was also helped by two unfortunately timed technical fouls on the Sea Dawgs. When the dust settled and the smoke cleared, Team HoopForLyfe was up at the half 56-48.

That coupled with tightened defense got Wilmington back into the game, with the lead going back and fourth until a couple solid defensive stands by HoopForLyfe closed the door.

The Sea Dawgs will finish their home slate Saturday, June 1st, as they host a return match against Big Texas at Blizzard Athletics. The game starts at 7:00 PM.
