Wildcatters' Tebbs Named Rbk Hockey Goalie Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Kris Tebbs of the Texas Wildcatters is the Rbk Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Feb. 25-Mar. 2.

The 26 year old was 3-0-0 with a goals-against average of 0.80 and a save percentage of .972 to help Texas remain atop the ECHL at 43-6-9.

Tebbs came off the bench with Texas trailing 4-3 and stopped all 11 shots he faced in the final 30:24 as the Wildcatters came back to win 6-4 at South Carolina on Feb. 29. He posted back-to-back wins at Gwinnett, making 31 saves in a 2-1 win on Mar. 1 and turning aside 27 shots in a 3-1 win on Mar. 2.

The 5-foot-10 and 165-pound netminder is 3-0-1 with a goals-against average of 1.12 and a save percentage of .962 in four games for the Wildcatters while also playing for Alaska where he was 2-2-1 with a goals-against average of 3.98 and a save percentage of .873 in eight games.

The Calgary, Alberta native played his first three seasons in the United Hockey League where he was 56-43-4 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 3.18 and a save percentage of .898 in 109 regular season games with Adirondack, Bloomington and Elmira from 2004-07.

Runners Up: Mike Brown, Alaska (2-0-0, 2.50 GAA, .938 save pct.), Kevin Nastiuk, Florida (1-0-1, 0.96 GAA, .966 save pct.) and Cam Ellsworth, Pensacola (2-1-0, 2.84 GAA, .902 save pct.).
