
Wild Things Sweep Kenosha in Extra Innings

Washington, PA â The rain didn't keep the Wild Things fans away on Wednesday as the Washington Wild Things (12-5), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, defeated the Kenosha Mammoths (6-9) in front of a crowd of 2,914.
Kenosha began scoring in the first inning with one run scored by Tommy Horiguchi, who was driven in by Andrew Huling's single to left centerfield.
Kenosha struck again in the fourth inning with two runs scored by Dennis Pelfrey and Todd Leathers. Ray Goirigolzarri doubled to left field, which allowed Pelfrey and Leathers to score, making the score 3-0.
Washington remained scoreless until the sixth inning when Jason Kane hit a solo homerun to right field.
Washington rallied again in the eighth inning scoring two runs by Ryan Ellis and Kane tying the score at three all.
Neither team was able to score in the ninth inning, so the game went into extra innings. Josh Loggins ended the game in the tenth inning with a two run homerun to left centerfield.
The Wild Things begin a two game series against the Rockford River Hawks Thursday at Falconi Field at 7:05.
