Wild Things Pay Tribute to the King

Washington, PA -- The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, will pay tribute to Elvis this Saturday when the game and post-game theme is Elvis Lives, a Tribute to the King.

The first 3,000 fans passing through the turnstiles will be All Shook Up when they receive a free Elvis mask. "The park should be quite a site with all the royalty that will be here. We will have 3,000 Kings at the park!" said Ross Vecchio, general manager for the Wild Things.

Wild Things' fans Can't Help Falling In Love with The Wild Things' players who will don uniform jerseys and caps made especially for the salute to the King on Saturday. The white shirts feature a gold and black starburst pattern and the left-breast Wild Thing insignia that features an Elvis-Coiffed Wild Thing. The team caps feature a gold brim.

The Wild Things' game is scheduled for 4:35 p.m. and will be televised live on Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh.

Following the game fans are invited to dance The Jailhouse Rock at the Hi Tops Party Pavilion where Don Obusek – the Pittsburgh area's number one Elvis Impersonator will perform the Magic of Elvis. Following his live performance, Disc Jockey, AJ Fresh will spin tunes to pay tribute to the King, Elvis Presley.

Sunday's featured event is Dog Days of Summer, brought to you by Nestle Purina and PetSmart. Fans will have a chance to meet various pet adoption agencies and the first 1,000 adults will receive a pet bowl for their Hound Dog. First pitch is 6:05 p.m.
