Wild Things Lengthen Win in East; Beat Chillicothe 4-1

Washington, PA– The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, defeated the Chillicothe Paints by a final score of 4-1. With Evansville's loss, Washington expands it's lead to two full games over the Otters.

Washington starter Matt McDonnell pitched 6.2 innings while only giving up one earned run on four hits. He improved his record to 6-3 moving into a tie for first in wins on the Wild Things' roster.

B.J. Borsa came in to get his save number 12 on the season. He pitched 2.1 innings of perfect ball.

Bill Greenwell delivered the big blow of the game with a bases clearing double in the top of the third inning to score the first two runs of the game. Jay Coakley and Mike Arbinger would add insurance later as they each registered a RBI.

Tomorrow the Wild Things will try to take the series as they send Ryan Ewin (5-2) to the mound to take on Paints' pitcher Jeff Hunter (2-3). The Wild Things return home on Wednesday to face the Kings of Kalamazoo. Game time is set for 7:05 pm.
