
Wild Things defeat Chillicothe

Washington Wild Things News Release
The Washington Wild Things (57-26), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, defeated the Chillicothe Paints by a score of 5-2, at Falconi Field Tuesday .
In the first inning Mike Arbinger singled through the left side, driving in Lance Koenig. In the second inning David Reaver singled, and drove in Matt Swope. And in the third inning Chris Carter drove in Koenig.
The Paints answered in the fourth inning when Doug Dreher grounded out, driving in John Ramistella.. Then Andrew Kasparek doubled to left center to drive in Noah Peery.
Washington came back in the bottom of the fourth to answer the Paints' two runs when Koenig singled to right field and T.J. Graves scored.
Then in the sixth inning Arbinger singled to the right and Koenig scored.
Lance Koenig went four for five and scored three runs.
Matt Brumit (6-1) got the win, allowing seven hits, two runs (earned), one walk, and six strike outs in seven innings of work. Jim Popp earned his 16th save in his two innings of work, allowing two hits and striking out five.
The Wild Things meet the Chillicothe Paints again Wednesday when the first 1,000 fans will receive a Mini Bat courtesy of 84 Lumber. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
