
Fifth Inning Drag Rakes in $759 for Working Wardrobe

Crestwood, IL (August 20, 2005) - On August 18th and 20th the Windy City ThunderBolts grounds crew did the 5th inning drag in drag and still in dresses and wigs sold split the pot raffle tickets to raise $759 for Working Wardrobe.
"Allowing fans of all ages to get a chuckle at our expense is great!" said Dan Wachowski, ThunderBolts Public Relations Director. "We did it for the laughs and to create awareness about a great organization that helps women in financial need in our own backyard."
Working Wardrobe is not for profit organization promoting economic self-sufficiency in women by providing business attire and referrals to local organizations that provide job training and placement services for women preparing to enter the job market. Working Wardrobe is located in Lombard and has been assisting women in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs since 1998.
In response to the creative efforts of the ThunderBolts staff and the generosity of their fans, Gail Foster, Executive Director of Working Wardrode stated, "It is through community efforts such as the Windy City ThunderBolts who help us keep our doors open to serve, what we expect to be, 400 clients this year."
The Windy City ThunderBolts are a member of the 12-team Frontier League. The Frontier League is an independent league with franchises throughout the upper Midwest. The ThunderBolts have full season tickets, group packages, and 10-game mini plans available for purchase.
