
Wild Things continue to hit homers in loss to Sliders

Washington, PA - The Washington Wild Things (29-30), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, lost 10-4 to the Midwest Sliders (27-30).
Sam Deluca's three run homerun gave the Sliders the lead in the first inning. The Wild Things got one run back in the bottom of the inning when Jacob Dempsey's single scored Michael Parker. Parker has now hit safely in 22 straight games.
Washington continues to score most of their runs on home runs, scoring three on two shots in the third. Chris Sidick (6) lead off with a home run. Ernie Banks (16) blasted a massive home run over the center field wall three batters later. Both homered last night.
Although the lead was cut to 5-4 after the third, the Sliders broke the game open with a three-run fourth. They added a run in the sixth and ninth, making the final score 10-4.
Starting pitcher A.J. Jenkins gave up six runs on six hits in three innings.
Washington and Midwest finish the series Tuesday night at 7:05 at CONSOL Energy Park. Broadcast on WJPA 95.3 FM beings at 6:55. Following the game, the Wild Things will travel to Florence to begin a six game stretch on the road.
