Wild Things Announce Schedule Changes
July 9, 2003 - Frontier League (FL)
Washington Wild Things News Release
Washington, PA - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, announced schedule changes Wednesday. The second game of Tuesday's double header was postponed due to weather. The game will be completed at Falconi Field when the Florence Freedom is in town on July 18th. The game is scheduled to resume at 6:05 p.m. and will be followed by the regularly scheduled game.
The Wild Things, who traveled to Hamilton, OH for a three game series against the Florence Freedom, lost a game to rain. The first game in the series on Sunday was completed, but the rain kept game two of the series from being played Monday.
The teams were scheduled for a double header on Tuesday. After a 65 minute rain delay, the Wild Things lost the first game of the double header 5-2. The second game got underway, only to be suspended in the bottom of the second inning.
Since the Wild Things are not scheduled to play in Florence again in 2003, the game will resume at Falconi Field on July 18th at 6:05 p.m. After the completion of that game, the two teams will face off in their regularly scheduled game.
In related news, game time for Saturday's (July 12) Wild Things game against the Richmond Roosters has been changed to 3:35 p.m. The game between the 2002 Frontier League Champion Roosters and the Second Place Wild Things was originally scheduled for 4:35 p.m.
The Roosters/Wild Things Saturday game will be televised on Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh.
