
Wild Recalls Teemu Pulkkinen

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Tuesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Teemu Pulkkinen (pronounced TEE-moo PUHL-kih-nuhn) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Pulkkinen, 24 (1/2/92), has recorded one goal in eight games with Minnesota this season and 15 points (8-715) in 18 games with Iowa in the AHL. He was claimed off of waivers from the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 11. Pulkkinen leads Iowa in goals, power-play goals (4), shots on goal (60) and ranks second in scoring. He was named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week on Nov. 28 after tallying a goal in four consecutive road games (5-27), including two game-winning goals. The Vantaa, Finland, native owns 21 points (12-921) in 78 career NHL contests with Detroit and Minnesota. Pulkkinen was originally selected by Detroit in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and wears jersey No. 17 with the Wild.
After a pair of road games in Cleveland, Iowa returns home for a two-game visit from the Manitoba Moose on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 3 PM. It's Toys for Tots night, where fans may donate a toy and receive a ticket voucher for a future Iowa Wild home game. All donations benefit Toys for Tots, sponsored by Complete Nutrition and KCCI. The Subway Combo Pack is available for purchase at the game. There is also a postgame skate at the conclusion of the game. Rental skates are available for $2, and proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association.
Iowa plays Manitoba again on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7 PM. It is a Free Parking Monday (until the IEC lots are full), sponsored by Nash Icon and KGGO. It is also $1 soda night and fans may bring in a Subway receipt to purchase a ticket for only $5.

The Iowa Wild 2016-17 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center: and runs from October through April. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area.
