Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), visit the San Diego Gulls tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California. Tonight is the third of 12 regular-season meetings between the two teams.
Keep it Hot:
The Ontario Reign enter tonight's contest on a season-high five-game point streak (5-0-1-0). Goaltender Jack Campbell started in all five contests.
Sinking the Gulls:
The Reign and Gulls are 1-1-0-0 head-to-head in the series. Forward Jonny Brodzinski leads the Reign with four points (one goal, three assists) and forwards Chris Wagner (one goal, one assist) and Corey Tropp (two assists) guide the Gulls with two points each.
Silence the Squawking:
San Diego has failed to score a goal in three of their last four games.
Going Streaking:
Reign rookie forward Mike Amadio enters tonight's contest on a four-game point streak (two goals, three assists). Veteran Teddy Purcell, a line mate of Amadio, has one goal and three assists in his first three games with the Reign.
Strong Finish:
The Reign (8-0-0-0) and Gulls (8-0-1-0) are both unbeaten when leading after two periods.
