SHOOT FOR THE MOON: The Saskatoon Blades threw on 39 shots Saturday securing a 4-2 win vs the Kelowna Rockets at Prospera Place. The Blue and Gold improve to 1-1 on their five-game BC road swing, and remain third in the Eastern Conference with a 34-13-3-1 record and 72 points.

THE WIENER OF OLD: In just his second game back from injury since Dec. 10th, forward Jayden Wiens notched the game-winning goal and two assists. If there was any doubt about his ability returning to the lineup, that's all been put to rest after tonight. The Carrot River, SK. boy has 11 goals and 16 points in 25 games this year.

WONG'S RETURN: Alternate captain Trevor Wong dished two helpers in his first game against his former team since being dealt to Saskatoon before the 2021-22 season. It adds to his team-leading 63 points in 51 games.

NEXT GAME: Saskatoon treks north to Prince George Tuesday invading CN Centre to challenge the Cougars.
