KAMLOOPS, BC - The Prince George Cougars five game winning streak ended after dropping a 5-4 heartbreaker to the Kamloops Blazers, Saturday at the Sandman Centre. The Blazers got the game winning goal with seven seconds remaining in the game.

Matthew Seminoff got the scoring started on a 5 on 3 to make it 1-0 Kamloops. The Blazers got another minutes later, courtesy of Fraser Minten to double the Blazer lead. The Cougars got one back when Cole Dubinsky ripped home a short-handed tally to get the Cats within one after 20 minutes.

In the second, the Cougars found the equalizer just under five minutes in when Ondrej Becher put one by goaltender Matthew Kieper to tie the game. Connor Levis re-gained the Blazer lead just over three minutes later to make it 3-2. Ondrej Becher, once again, got the Cougars all square in the final minutes of the second to make it 3-3 after two periods.

In the third, the Blazers converted on another power-play with Ryan Hofer ripping one by Ty Young to make it 4-3 Kamloops. Exactly four minutes later, Ondrej Becher spotted Koehn Ziemmer on a two on one and Ziemmer made no mistake and tied the game at four. The Cougars then went on a five-minute power-play after Ryan Hofer blindsided Zac Funk in the neutral zone, but the Cats couldn't capitalize.
