WICHITA, Kansas - The AirHogs dropped their series finale to the Wichita Wingnuts 7-6 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium Thursday night. Burt Reynolds and Cody Lenahan each went deep in the contest.

The AirHog offense tagged Wichita starter (and former LA Dodger) Jon Link for 4 runs on a solo blast by Reynolds and a 3-run homer by Lenahan in the 4th. The shot was the American Association-best 17th for Reynolds. Lenahan's was his 2nd of the series and season.

The Wingnuts responded by scoring 4 times off AirHogs starter Cody Hebner in a bottom of the 4th in a frame that featured 2 hits, 2 walks, an error and a sacrifice fly.

The Wingnuts broke the tie in the 7th by loading the bases and capitalizing for 2 on a single by Martin Medina.

Trailing 6-4 going to the 9th, the AirHogs rallied against relief man Frankie Reed. The team strung together 4 straight singles to start the 9th, culminating in a 2-RBI knock to right by Michael Valadez.

Tied at 6 in extra innings, each team would strand a man in scoring position before Wichita walked it off in the 12th. Facing David Wayne Russo, 2B Christian Stringer led off the bottom of the 12 with a double. DH Brent Clevelen knocked him in 2 batters later with a long single off the left field wall to seal a 7-6 win.

The AirHogs (17-23) travel to Laredo to open a 3-game set tomorrow vs. the Lemurs. RHP Tyler Harris (1-0) is expected to make his 2nd start of the year for the AirHogs in Game 1. First pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at Uni-Trade Stadium.
