WhiteWings Sign Reliever Before Game Two of Doubleheader

Laredo - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings signed right-handed reliever Jose Nieto (6-3, 205) in-between games of Tuesday's doubleheader.

Nieto has previously pitched for Laredo, Edinburg and Amarillo in the United League and has a career record of 2-4 with one save and a 6.56 ERA in four seasons. In 52 games (four starts) he has struck out 55 while walking 48 and allowing 104 hits in 89.2 innings.

Nieto is in uniform, wearing #27.
