
WhiteWings Announce Successful Promotion

The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings are pleased to announce the success of their 2012 Community and Chamber of Commerce nights at Harlingen Field.
On Wednesday, July 18 the municipality of Los Fresnos, including the surrounding communities of Indian Lakes and Bayview, were celebrated. Bayview mayor Leon Peason threw out the first pitch and 921 fans attended despite the event having to be rescheduled due to an earlier rainout.
Yesterday, Thursday July 19, Brownsville was the city so honored. Mayor Joey Martinez, a lifelong Stan Musial fan, threw out the first pitch and wore a Rio Grande Valley jersey. The WhiteWings' daily attendance average of 970 was exceeded by almost 400 fans with an attendance mark of 1,365.
On Friday, July 27, San Benito will have their day at Harlingen Stadium when the WhiteWings host the Fort Worth Cats at 7:05 p.m. Reserved seats are available to San Benito residents for just $4 at 956-423-WING.
