Colts Trade Page to Abilene

San Angelo, Texas --- The Colts announced Friday they have traded catcher/infielder Davis Page to the Abilene Prairie Dogs in exchange for future considerations.

Page will join the Prairie Dogs roster in time for their game against the McAllen Thunder tonight at Walt Driggers Field. Page hit .234 with a home run and four RBIs in 15 games for the Colts this season.

The 24-year-old began his career with the Colts, but started this season with the Washington Wild Things of the independent Frontier League. As a rookie in San Angelo last year, Page hit .259 with four home runs and 14 RBIs in 45 games.

Now in his second professional season, Page has a .251 career average with five home runs and 18 RBIs in 62 games.

The Colts' four-game series against the Fort Worth Cats concludes Friday with Ethicon Buyout Night, sponsored by Ethicon. Gates open at 6:05 p.m., and first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

The Colts are a member of United League Baseball who are in their 13th season. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
