EDINBURG- Osvaldo Rodriguez continued to dominate North American Baseball League hitters as he allowed only three hits through eight innings to enable the Edinburg Roadrunners to defeat the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings, 8-1, at Edinburg Baseball Stadium Friday night.

Rodriguez (4-0) fanned seven batters walked two, and only allowed an unearned run in the eighth inning as the Roadrunners (34-20) defeated the WhiteWings (30-23) for the third straight game. Eddie Dennis Jr. (1-2) took the loss in a spot start for the WhiteWings.

Offensively, Carlos Hereaud had three hits and drove in two runs to give him 42 on the season to lead the league. Wilmer Pino also collected three hits for Edinburg and scored three runs.

The two teams will meet again tonight at 7:05 p.m. in Edinburg.
