West Michigan Whitecaps News Release

The Whitecaps saw their four-game road undefeated streak come to an end in Seattle, as the defending champion Sounders handed Vancouver a 2-0 defeat. Midfielder Andrew Gregor scored the winner in the first half, while Leighton O'Brien put the game away with a second-half penalty kick, while also adding an assist.

The win gives the Sounders the Cascadia Cup, the fan-sponsored competition between Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver. The Whitecaps had won the cup the previous two years. With only one game remaining in the competition Seattle have an insurmountable 14 points, Vancouver has 9, and Portland 6.
