
Whitecaps FC Expand to Full Lower Bowl for March 2 Season Opener

VANCOUVER, BC - Due to demand, Vancouver Whitecaps FC will open the full lower bowl for the club's 2019 MLS season opener against Minnesota United FC this coming Saturday, March 2 at BC Place.
Kickoff is at 3 p.m. PT. Ticket options are available at whitecapsfc.com/tickets. For information on group tickets, visit whitecapsfc.com/groups.
The 2019 season marks the 40th anniversary of the club's 1979 NASL Soccer Bowl championship. Anticipation has been building for the first opportunity to watch the 'Caps under new head coach Marc Dos Santos. 14 new players have joined the Blue and White during the offseason, including the return of 2017 leading goalscorer Fredy Montero and the signing of South Korean international Inbeom Hwang.
This is the second consecutive year that capacity has been expanded for the season opener, with a club record opening day crowd of 27,837 packing the lower bowl for the first match of 2018, a 2-1 win over Montreal Impact.
