Charlotte Knights News Release

(Fort Mill, SC) - Earlier today, the Chicago White Sox announced that Charlotte Knights outfielder Jordan Danks has been recalled to Chicago.

Danks, who has reached base safely in 30-straight games with the Knights (5/12-present), earned his second promotion to the White Sox this season. He takes the place of outfielder Alejando De Aza, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to August 18) by the White Sox.

A native of Austin, TX, Danks was hitting .317 with eight home runs and 30 RBIs in 64 games for the Knights this year. He appeared in 29 games for the White Sox earlier this season and hit .265 with one home run and three RBIs. In his last at-bat for Chicago, back on August 10, Danks hit his first Major League home run - a game-winning solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning of a 4-3 White Sox victory.

The Charlotte Knights return home for an eight-game homestand beginning on Thursday and face the Pawtucket Red Sox for a four-game series (Thursday-Sunday). Tickets to see the first place Charlotte Knights are available at the Knights Ticket Office located at Knights Stadium, online at www.charlotteknights.com, or by phone at 704-357-8071 (North Carolina) or 803-548-8050 (South Carolina).
