What to Watch For, Powered by Verizon, as the Orlando Pride Play Cross Country against Seattle Reign

As the Pride take on the Reign in Seattle, here are five things to watch for:

Coming Back for Another

The Pride head to Lumen Field for their second road trip of the season. Last year, the Pride defeated the Reign in both contests, including a 3-2 victory in Seattle. The Pride were backed by a brace from Barbra Banda and an Emily Sams goal, which served as her first goal of her NWSL career. The win also served as the Pride's first-ever win playing on the road against Seattle.

Déjà Vu

Orlando won both meetings with Seattle last season by 3-2 scorelines. It was just the third time in NWSL history a team recorded multiple wins in a season against a single opponent in matches in which it conceded multiple goals, joining Kansas City in 2022 and Seattle in 2017.

Another Broken Record

For the first time in its history, Orlando has won each of its first three games of a season. The Pride are the second team in NWSL history with three wins and at least 10 goals through three games of a season, joining last season's Kansas City Current.

In-Form

Haley McCutcheon scored her second goal of the season, which is tied for most amongst Pride players to start the 2025 season. McCutcheon has now scored four times in her last seven appearances, scoring Orlando's first goal of the match each time.

GOAT from the Spot

Marta stepped up to the penalty spot and converted the penalty kick in the 76th minute for the game-winning goal. The goal served as her 13th converted penalty, which is now the second-most regular-season penalties scored in NWSL history. The goal also served as the afternoon's game-winner, which is her 14th game-winning goal of the regular season, ranking fourth all-time in the NWSL. She also became just the second player in NWSL history to convert 10 consecutive penalty attempts.

Milestone Tracker

Marta is one assist away from 20 in her regular season career.

Carson Pickett is one appearance away from 50 across all competitions for the Pride.

Ally Watt's next appearance will be her 50th regular season appearance while donning the Pride kit.
