Kingston Frontenacs are in Plymouth, Michigan to face the Western Division leading Whalers at the Compuware Sports Arena. The Frontenacs are looking for a 4-game road trip sweep while the Whalers are riding a 2-game win streak.

Plymouth heads to the penalty box first at 1:42, Hooking to Looby. Lobby goes back at 3:48 for Interference. Whalers get caught with too many men on the ice at midway past the opening period and serve a Bench Penalty. Kotsopoulos serves Kingston's first penalty at 13:54 for Obstruction Hooking. Plymouth aggressive style comes to play at 17:43 and Pisellini for Roughing. Bobby Hughes shows his fire with 40-seconds remaining in the opening period which lands him a 10-Minute Misconduct. Plymouth outshoots Kingston in the First Period 12 - 9. After the first period the game is scoreless.

Kingston opens the scoring at 2:06 of the second period; Todd Griffith (6) scores assisted by Anthony Stewart and Evan Kotsopoulos. 6:30, Raftis is called for Hooking. Plymouth ties the game at 8:36 with a goal by import draft Vaclav Meidl. Hughes returns to the ice after the goal and serving his 10-minute misconduct fromthe 1st period. At 10:06, Anthony Stewart (4) drives hard down the wing and blasts the puck past Whalers rookie goalie Ryan Nie, assisted by Evan Kotsopoulos his 2nd point of the game and former Whaler Michael Kolarz. Just 17-seconds later, Amherstview native Andrew Fournier ties it for Plymouth 2 - 2. End to end action continues. The Whalers take the lead at 12:56 with a goal by rookie Cory Tanaka, his first OHL goal. Plymouth goes on the powerplay at 14:47, Tripping to Trevor Waddell. The Whalers fire 23 shots this period on Kingston goalie Dayne Davis while the Frontenacs had 16 shots on goal. After forty-minutes, Plymouth leads 3 - 2.

Third Period, Waddell goes to the box for the second time tonight; 5:26 for Holding and Whalers fourth powerplay opportunity. Kingston go on their 5th powerplay at 8:39, Knight for tripping. Plymouth has the final powerplay chance of the night starting at 11:28 as Pronk serves time for Cross Checking. 1:18 remaining in the game, Coach Hulton calls a time out and goes with six attackers. Plymouth edge Kingston 3 - 2 Final.

Total shots in favour of the Whalers 48 to 34. Both teams 0 for 5 on powerplay chances.

Anthony Stewart gets the Third Star of the Game Selection for a goal and an assist.

Frontenacs have 20 players dressed. Danny Revelle is out with a knee injury. Derek Lyons is also a scratch with a cracked knuckle.

Kingston Frontenacs are home for the next three games starting Friday, October 22nd to host Plymouth at Kingston Memorial Centre 7:30PM.
