MISSISSAUGA - The Westchester Knicks (26-20), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, came one step closer to a playoff berth with a revengeful win over the Raptors 905 (20-27), closing out the season series with a 103-98 win.
Reeling from Thursday's loss, the Knicks went back-and-forth with the Raptors to start the first. Westchester's Jordan Bachynski dropped 10 points in the quarter, but the Raptors surged ahead and used an 8-2 run to close out the quarter with an eight-point lead. The Knicks held the home team to just 14 points in the second quarter, pulling within three to end the first half.
Westchester racked up 34 points off 64 percent shooting in the third, once again holding the Raptors to just 14 points. Taking as much as an 18-point lead, the Knicks ended the quarter with a comfortable 13-point advantage. The Raptors attempted a comeback with 35 points in the fourth, but they were unable to overcome the lackluster performance in the previous two quarters.
