
Legends Hold off Blue

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - The Texas Legends (22-25) and Oklahoma City Blue (19-28) exchanged leads 10 times and tied 11 on the way to an 88-85 Texas victory at Chesapeake Energy Arena Friday night.
The Blue took the largest lead of the night in the first quarter (+8) and held onto a 32-31 advantage at the buzzer despite a 12-point performance from Texas' Chris Douglas-Roberts. The Legends regained control within the first minute of the second and held on through halftime.
Oklahoma City lit up the boards to start the second half, outrebounding Texas 17-7 in the third, but shot 28% to remain the two-point underdog heading into the final minutes. With three minutes to play the Blue took a 3-point advantage, but Texas went on a 9-3 streak to finish out the game.
Oklahoma City dominated Texas in rebounds 58-36 and grabbed 20 second-chance points to the Legends' two, but Texas finished the night shooting 42% overall over the Blue's 36%.
