POWER REPLAY: West Virginia dropped a 5-4 final at Lakewood on Saturday night. The Power plated three runs in the sixth inning, keyed by a triple, a double, a double steal, and an error. Zack Von Rosenberg was in line for the win until the BlueClaws tagged Victor Black for four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Black was charged with a blown save and the loss. Three different players had two hits each for the Power, which saw its three game winning streak snapped.

GETTING ROSEY: Zack Von Rosenberg has pitched well over his last four starts, allowing just four earned runs over 22 innings. The Power pitcher has made more starts than any other pitcher this season with 22, and has lowered his ERA down over one full run during this recent stretch. Von Rosenberg also leads the club with 88 strikeouts this season.

STOPPED AT TEN: Dan Grovatt's ten-game hitting was stopped last night with an 0-4 evening. The ten-game run is the longest by any Power player this season, surpassing the nine-game streaks by Matt Curry, Justin Howard, and Drew Maggi earlier this year. Grovatt hit .325 during his streak with 13 hits over 40 at bats.

RETURN OF A ZACH: Zach Dodson was promoted to the Power roster Friday from State College and made the start. Dodson began the season in the Power rotation, making seven starts before being transferred off the roster in a paper move on May 13. Dodson went 2-3 over his seven starts with a 3.12 ERA. The southpaw suffered a broken left hand in mid-May and was placed on the Power's Disabled List. He began a rehab assignment in the GCL on June 29, made three appearances, and then made four more with the Spikes in the NYPL. Eliecer Navarro was transferred to State College to clear a roster spot.

FIST BUMPING WEEKEND: West Virginia and Lakewood play the third game of this series this afternoon. The BlueClaws hold the all-time advantage in this match-up with a 51-40 record against the Power, and the West Virginia trails in the series on the road, going 16-21 at FirstEnergy Park since 2005. After tomorrow's game, the Power and BlueClaws have met a total of 18 times this season after playing 16 times last year, with this series being the final meeting of the clubs in 2011.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The final few weeks of the 2011 season will see the Power see-saw between home and road series. After this four game set in Lakewood, West Virginia returns home for four against Charleston. On August 14, the Power open a four game series in Kannapolis. Four days later, they'll host Delmarva for four. After a four day trip to Greensboro starting August 22, the Power open their final homestand of the season; a five game run against Lexington beginning on August 26. The last road trip sends West Virginia to Delmarva over Labor Day weekend.

VERGE OF HISTORY: Rogelio Noris has 24 career home runs for West Virginia over a season and a half in a Power jersey. Noris has matched Stephen Chapman for the most home runs in any player's Power career. Chapman hit a single-season record 24 home runs in a Power uniform in 2007.

POWER POINTS: Victor Black had an ERA of 0.00 after ten appearances in May and June. Since July 1, Black's earned run average is 10.29... West Virginia's Wednesday win was the fourth this season when scoring just one run (4-10). The 2010 club went 0-13 in games when they scored just one run.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh fell 13-2 to San Diego... Indianapolis lslipped past Toledo 9-8... Altoona lost 5-3 to Trenton... Bradenton walked off with a 5-4 win over Fort Myers... State College lost 3-1 to Jamestown.
