
Greenville Tops Legends 9-4

The Greenville Drive broke a 3-3 tie with four runs in the seventh inning and went on to beat the Lexington Legends 9-4 Sunday in Greenville.
Greenville took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a two-run homer by David Renfroe, but the Legends moved in front with three in the fourth. Telvin Nash led off with a home run, his 11th of the year. With one out, Daniel Adamson walked, and Jhonny Medrano followed with another homer, his fourth of the season, to give the Legends a 3-2 lead.
Greenville tied it with a run in the fifth, and broke the game open with four runs in the seventh. Carson Blair led off the inning with a homer, and later, an RBI single by Henry Ramos and a two-run single by Michael Almanzar gave the Drive a 7-3 margin.
Greenville added two more in the eighth on Ramos' two-run single.
In the Lexington ninth, Ben Orloff drew a walk with one out and scored on Mike Kvasnicka's two-out triple.
Charlie Rosario (6-1), who relieved starter Manuel Rivera in the fourth inning, got the win. Gabriel Garcia (1-5) took the loss in relief for Lexington after relieving starter Luis Cruz at the start of the sixth inning. Greenville has won two out of three in the series, which concludes with a 7 p.m. game Monday.
